Obligors see offsets fulfillment against their contracts as yet
another business opportunity. They would therefore invest in only such offset projects
that are profitable ultimately, of course earning offset credits for the
obligors in the process.
‘Mapping’ of offset recipients by the Obligors, or their
designated agencies is a tedious process. It is here that ‘Offset
Service Providers’ approved/empanelled by the Vendors play an important role
in due diligence, ToT, training, consulting, etc, of the Offset Recipient Companies.
Online and Offline Services are needed for successful
implementation of Offsets.
